New Delhi, 21 February. The 60th State Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Delhi commenced today at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Senior Journalist Rubika Liyaqat as the Chief Guest who inspired students to actively contribute to national interest. Distinguished guests included ABVP National Organising Secretary Shri Ashish Chauhan, National Secretary Shivangi Kharwal, State President Tapan Kumar Bihari and State Secretary Sarthak Sharma. The Reception Committee was chaired by senior advocate Sukumar Patjoshi along with Kamalkant as the reception committee secretary. The conference began with great participation from hundreds of activits and students.
During the conference, key resolutions were presented on topics such as education, environmental protection, the role of youth in society, technological development, and cultural revival. A prominent resolution proposed during the event emphasized the conservation and full fledged cleaning of the Yamuna River. Furthermore, over 600 students also participated in a grand Shobha Yatra. Additionally, in-depth discussions on education, the environment, and societal development were held.
Senior Journalist and Chief Guest Rubika Liyaqat stated that ABVP is an organization that serves as a platform which harbors fearless and exemplary leaders who have risen to higher ranks, like Rekha Gupta, who recently became the CM of Delhi. Just as a potter crafts wet mud into a pot, ABVP moulds students and helps them become good citizens to serve Maa Bharati.
ABVP National Organising Secretary Shri Ashish Chauhan stated, "ABVP is not merely a student organisation but it's a movement that inculcates nationalist ideology in the minds of youth and empowering them to drive comprehensive societal transformation." He urged the students to take an active role in shaping educational policies, technological progress and social engagement.
ABVP Delhi State Secretary Sarthak Sharma stated This conference is not just an annual event but a significant platform for uniting students power , understanding societal needs and contributing to nation development. During the last session, ABVP achieved a membership of 67,659, the highest compared to previous years reflecting the eagerness of students to join the organization. The resolutions presented during the conference will be submitted to both Central and Delhi Government to ensure effective action on student welfare and nation's development.
